Data Access Grants

Data access grants will be posted here as they become available.

These grants of up to $5,000 cover costs associated with accessing and working with large data sources, such as the UK Biobank, which are necessary to carry out data-intensive research and application.

The purpose of these grants is to foster research by mitigating the high cost of access to many data sets.

Trainees or faculty members at Ontario-based universities are eligible to apply.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until two grants have been funded in a given academic year.

These grants of up to $10,000 cover costs associated with accessing and working with ICES data through ICES UofT. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until two grants have been funded in a given academic year.

ICES holds a large, rich data set that is not accessible to most statistical researchers without connection to ICES researchers or staff who have the expertise to work with these data, and funds to obtain it.
