Data Science Applied Research and Education Seminar

A collaboration between the Department of Statistical Sciences at U of T
and CANSSI Ontario

We are excited to present the Data Science Applied Research and Education Seminar (ARES) to Ontario. This new speaker series showcases opportunities in all realms of society for Data Science.

Speakers are Data Scientists who span multiple disciplines, such as political science, health, ethics, humanities, global affairs, data science education, genomics, economics and many more.

To ensure state-of-the-art, cutting edge Data Science (DS) content across many disciplines, the series employs two expert nominating committees with representatives from:

  1. CANSSI Ontario Partner Universities, and the
  2. Department of Statistical Sciences (DoSS) at the University of Toronto (U of T)

Seminars are held on Mondays, 3-4 pm ET, September to April.

2020 seminars will be held online with speakers and participants interacting remotely.
