The Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Ottawa invites applications from recent PhDs for one or more postdoctoral fellowships.
Applications in all areas of mathematics and statistics will be considered. Applicants should identify their potential postdoctoral supervisor(s) in their application.
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is a sponsor of the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences and the Centre de Recherches Mathématiques. Postdoctoral fellows may benefit from these affiliations.
The fellowships are open to candidates of any nationality. Selection will be based on a candidate’s potential for research and teaching. The appointment is for one year, and is normally renewed for a second year, subject to satisfactory performance. Duties include research and the teaching of two one-semester courses each year.
Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, research plan, teaching statement, and arrange for at least three confidential letters of recommendation, with one addressing teaching, through the Mathjobs website.
