The Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Ottawa invites applications from recent Ph.D.s for at least four postdoctoral fellowships. Applications in all areas of mathematics and statistics will be considered. Applicants should identify their potential postdoctoral supervisor(s) in their application. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is a sponsor of the Fields Institute of the Mathematical Sciences (Toronto) and of the Centre de Recherches Mathématiques (Montreal). Postdoctoral fellows may benefit from these affiliations. Information about the department can be found at https://www2.uottawa.ca/faculty-science/mathematics-statistics. This fellowship is open to candidates of any nationality. The selection will be based on the candidate’s potential for research and teaching. This fellowship is for one year, and is normally renewed for a second year subject to satisfactory performance. Duties include research and the teaching of two one-semester courses. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a research plan, a statement of teaching experience, up to three of their most significant publications, and arrange for three confidential letters of recommendation, with one addressing teaching, through the AMS Mathjobs web site. Applications will be reviewed beginning on December 1, 2022 and until all positions are filled. Employment equity is university policy and the university strongly encourages applications from women, aboriginal peoples, members of visible minorities and persons with disabilities.
